OBBA welcomes Dr. Jamie Ellis, the Gahan Endowed Professor of Entomology in the Department of Entomology and Nematology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Dr. Ellis is a world-renown Honey Bee researcher and is also responsible for creating the University of Florida’s Master Beekeeper Program. He hosts, with Amy Vu, the celebrated podcast “Two Bees in a Podcast” . In addition, Jamie and his team have created a YouTube channel called UFhoneybeelab and the Beekeeping Academy, providing Florida beekeepers with high quality research-based direction on their beekeeping practices. Join us on Thursday JULY 18 at 7:00 PM for our monthly meeting. We will be meeting at the Orange County UF/IFAS Extension Offices. His talk will occur in the Auditorium.
